1958 - 2010 - With heavy hearts the family of Rick Trites announce his passing at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 23, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Rick, 52, was born in Moncton to the late Douglas and Phyllis (Welling) Trites. He was a former member of the Moncton 101 Air Cadets and was a graduate of Moncton High School in 1976. Rick continued his education at the Community College where he obtained his Mechanics License. Throughout his early life, Rick worked alongside his family at W.J. Trites & Son Farm Machinery business in Lakeville. In recent years, he was an avid Drag Racer and cherished his many friendships made at racetracks throughout the Maritimes. Rick is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 30 years, Margot (Edgett); his dear son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Crystal, Riverview; his cherished daughter, Natalie, Moncton and his precious granddaughters, Taylor (age 6) and Elizabeth (4 weeks). He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Helen Welling of Shediac Cape; his brother, Steve (Patti), Moncton; sister-in-law, Brenda Rachul (Dwayne), Moncton; nieces, Sara, Kari; nephews, Eric, Andrew, Ben and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in 2005 by his daughter, Melissa Anne.

Dr. Philip Griffin-Allwood officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.
