1925 - 2010 - Omer Jaillet, 84, of Saint-Edouard de Kent has passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton. He was married to the late Alida Desroches (1976). Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent on August 4th, 1925, he was the son of the late Norbert and the late Hélène (Savoie) Jaillet. Omer was a fisherman, and served in the WW11 reserve in Joliette, QC. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 in Bouctouche, and of the Bouctouche Golden Age Club. He will be sadly missed by his three children, Ronalda Richard (Ronald) of Moncton, Elmo (Gloria), and Laurie (Ginette) both of Bouctouche, his seven grandchildren, Mario, Jacques, Jean-Marc, Huguette, Rita, Daniel, Serge and his eleven great grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Donat and Néri, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Edmée and Laura and three brothers, Gerard, Alphonse, and Livain.
Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Monday, April 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
