It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Janes announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his common-law wife: Mary Boland; his sons: Rick Hynes (Allison), Allan Janes (May); daughters: Patsy Boland (John), Loretta Hynes, Edna Langille, Una Wentzell (Harold), Louise Janes (Wayne); sister: Theresa Janes; special goddaughter: Linda Hynes; grandchildren: Reba, Chloe, Brooke, Katelyn, Maleah, Cory, Michelle, Tony, Toby, Anika; great-grandchildren: Shanig, Tyler, Dylan, Nolan; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Gertrude Janes, mother: Sarah Francis Janes, father: Charlie Joseph Janes, sons: Ricky and Sandy Janes, brother: Benjamin Janes. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:30 am from Lady Star of the Sea, Benoit’s Cove with Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Interment in R.C. Cemetery, Benoit’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Lung Association.
