Mr. Charles VanBuskirk passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Charles was born May 23, 1923 in Moose Jaw. He worked for Palm Dairies for 40 years and retired at the young age of 58. After retirement Charlie enjoyed coffee in the mornings with his friends at 'coffee row', working in his yard and spending time at the cabin with family where it was never too late to enjoy a beer by the fire. He was never too busy for his grandchildren or the light of his life, Hanna, his great-granddaughter. Predeceased by his parents, Alice and Maxwell, three brothers and three sisters, Charles is survived by his wife, Doreen, of 58 years, his daughter Gerry (Gerald) Rusnak, granddaughter Nicole (Jeff) Weekes, grandson Jonathon Rusnak, great-granddaughter Hanna Weekes; sister Gladys Brigham, brother-in-law Lionel Herbert and sister-in-law Shirley Anaka. In keeping with Charles' request a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort and lessons in life. Grandpa gave all of these!
