It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnie Foote announce her passing on Saturday, September 6th, 2008 at the Malcolm Piercey Home, Deer Lake at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: sons: Cyril (Marion), Hastings, On, Jim (Barbara), Kingston, On, Clifford (Judy), Mississauga, On and Rendell (Sharon), Corner Brook; one daughter: Marilyn (Richard) Caines, Fort McMurray, AB; 28 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; sisters: Vera Abbott, BC and Ethel Butler, St. John’s; brother: Rendell Hillier, Boston, Mass; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Foote, Pasadena; son-in-law: Gary Meade, Pasadena; sister-in-law: Dulcie Foote, Malconm Piercey Home; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, 1989; sons: William, 1946 and Lionel, 2003; and daughter: Daphne, 2006. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday evening, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Church, Clarence Street. Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Church Memorial Fund.
