Janet Alice Cormier (Farrell), 90, of Moncton Kinsman House and formerly of People's Park Tower, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Moncton City Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 18, 1919 in Glencoe, Guysborough County, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Farrell and Emma MacDonald. Janet was employed at Sears Catalogue for 23 years. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey, five brothers, two sisters and granddaughter Debbie Phenix. She is survived by her six children: Denyse (Robert) Phenix, Mary (Harold) Brunton, both of Sarnia Ontario, Eric (Karen), Robert and Gerry of Moncton and Cheryl Ann (Fred) of Hampton, N.B., eight grandchildren: Karen, Annalee, Kyle, Jennifer, Paul, Wendi, Nicholas and Carla, and six great-grandchildren. Janet is also survived by sister-in-law Rita Farrell of Truro and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church (52 Falkland St.), Moncton, on Friday,
April 30 at 2 p.m., Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary, Dieppe.
