Kevin Paul Patterson of Toronto, Ontario, oldest son of Paul and Rose Marie (Lank) Patterson of McKnight Street, Fredericton, NB passed away after a fearlessly fought brief illness at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto on April 21, 2010, surrounded by his parents, partner and close friends. Kevin was born on June 20, 1957 at the Harvey Community Hospital, Harvey Station. After graduating from Harvey High, he attended UNB and was the pianist for the Thomist Band for many years. He also sang in many of the Gilbert and Sullivan Productions in Fredericton. He spent most of his life in the music field, playing the piano, singing and putting on Musical Productions both in Fredericton and Toronto. He spent his last years teaching drama and acting as Administrator at a drama school in Toronto owned by Pat Sutton. Besides his parents, he has left to sadly mourn, his partner, Scott Pope, Toronto, ON; a son, Scott Patterson (Jill), Grand Bay, NB; a daughter, Laura Doyle (Nick), Millidgeville, NB; a brother, Kendall Patterson and a sister, Kathy Stickles (Robin), both of McLeod Hill, Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Jude Patterson, Eric, Aidan and Bella Doyle; three nephews, two nieces, two aunts, one uncle, several cousins, and special friends, Althea Jones, Harvey, NB, Michael Apigian and Pat Sutton of Toronto as well as many other Toronto friends and his little, furry doggie, Elliot. A memorial service was held in Toronto at the Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre on April 26, 2010. Although there will be no visitation, friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kevin's life at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn and Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. A reception will follow in the Knox Youth Hall. Interment will be in Cherry Mountain Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be his three nephews, Kirt Stickles, Joshua and Michael Patterson and his two nieces, Kayle Stickles and Sarah Patterson.
