Family and friends on P.E.I. were saddened to receive the news of the passing away of Gustave "Gus" Gallant on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Woodhall Park Retirement Village in Brampton, Ont., at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Thelma (Arsenault) (1992); cherished father of Raymond, Donald (Bonnie), David, Louis, Linda (Tony), Shirley (Rick) and the late Michael (2002). Also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will also be missed by the following sisters and brothers: Rita (late Tilmon Arsenault) and Louise (late Joseph "Joe" Arsenault) of Wellington, Elmer (Avola) of Abram-Village, Edgar (Annette) of Ottawa, Ont., Dolore (Melina) of Scarborough, Ont., as well as sisters-in-law Doreen (late Tilmon) of Abram-Village, Emily (late Donat) of Summerside, and Zelma (late Edmond) of Wellington and their families. A funeral mass was held at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Brampton, Ont., on Friday, April 23.
