Florabel Parfitt passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta on February 6, 2010 at the age of 102 years.
She is survived by her son Wayne Parfitt and his wife Janet Sparling, as well as her brother Hughie Cunningham and his wife Janet. She will also be remembered by her many nephews and nieces. Florabel was predeceased by her husband Leslie Parfitt. Florabel was born on November 10, 1907 in Saint John, New Brunswick. It was there that she grew up with her many brothers and sisters before eventually moving to Toronto, Ontario where she lived for many more years. In her later years, she moved to Alberta to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. from Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave.,Saint John NB. (634-1701). Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honour.
