After the ordeal of a 15 year battle with a maglinant brain tumor Allan passed away peacefully in Mississauga on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Roddie Mack and Rucy (Neville) MacDonald.
Allan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Phyllis; one daughter, Kellie; one son, Kyle and one grandson, Matthew and will always be remembered by them as a very kind, gentle and soft spoken family man.
He is also survived by three sisters, Marg, Rose and Ann; six brothers, Robbie, Gerry, Bryden, Michael and Greg, all in Ontario and Angus, Tower Road, Glace Bay.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence (1943), Pat (1990) and Kevin (1999).
The funeral was under the direction of Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Oakville, on April 21, 2010 with mass held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, Mississauga.
It has been said that a man considers his wealth not in possessions or in the size of his bank account but in the happiness of his family. So in that respect Allan was indeed a very wealthy man because he always considered the happiness of his family, that being his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Kellie; son, Kyle and his grandson, Matthew.
Rest in peace, Allan.
