Bertha H. Cameron, 89, of Moncton, with her daughter Donna at her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Born in Gladeside, she was the daughter of the late Beverley and Elizabeth (Gamble) Geddes. Bertha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed baking, politics, doing word search puzzles and socializing with her friends and family. Bertha will be sadly missed by her daughter, Donna Kay (Lynn), Moncton; son, Robert "Bob" (Joanne), Moncton; three grandchildren, Andrew, Geoffrey, Natalie; beloved four-legged companions, "Bear",
"Stewart" and "Molly"; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Cameron (1991); brothers, Clarence and Lawrence; sisters, Edith and Clara.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, May 3, 2010, 11:00 am, Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
