Woodworth, Harold Morse- 74, of Truro, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Born in Berwick, N.S. he was the only son of the late Harold and Helen (Morse) Woodworth. During Harold's younger days he had a passion for softball, fishing, hunting and singing bass in a quartet in the Annapolis Valley. He began his career with the Royal Bank in 1953 and entered the investment business in 1961 with Eastern Securities. After a long successful career as an investment advisor, Harold retired from Richardson-Greenshields in 1996. After moving to Truro in 1961, he joined the Truro Kinsmen Club, Curling Club, Golf Club, Duplicate Bridge Club and Barbershoppers. During Harold's retirement years he enjoyed gardening, reading history, following the stock market, he also had an interest in old coins, vintage watches, radios and cameras and being an "armchair" athlete. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan (Bennett),Truro; son Kevin (Rennee), Dartmouth; son Robert "Bob" (JeannieWay), Dartmouth; daughter Karen (Fred Colaiacovo), Halifax; grandson Brett, Edmonton,AB and step-granddaughter Amy MacArthur, Edmonton, AB. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 at 2pm in Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, Nova Scotia. Rev. Frank Locke officiating. Visitation and reception to follow at funeral home. Interment will follow the reception in Watson's Cemetery, Salmon River, NS.
