THOMPSON, Barbara "Helen"- 66, Shelburne, passed away at home on April 28, 2010. Born in Whiteburn, Queen's County, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Hilda (Conway) Armstrong. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She was an avid bingo player. She loved Christmas and enjoyed giving her family lots of gifts. She is survived by sons, Gary (Vonda), Sable River; Danny (Lisa), Jordan Branch Rd.; David (Amy), East Green Harbour; daughter, Barbara (Brian) Crowell, Sable River; brothers, Jimmy, Charlie, Terry and Robert; sisters, Doris, Jean, Carolyn and Roseanna; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; brothers, Guy Junior, John, Danny, Gary and sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 3 at 2P.M. in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Chapel, Shelburne with Father Pat O'Meara officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
