It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dylan James Boyd on April 30, 2010 at his home in Fredericton. Dylan was born on April 13, 1999 and was a special son to Kimberley (Whittaker) Boyd and the late James Boyd, brother to Olivia, Arika and Rebekah. Dylan is survived by his grandparents, Ronald and Betty Boyd of Fredericton; Theresa Whittaker and William Connell of Saint John; grandfather, Addison Whittaker of Wirral; great grandmother, Mary Nelson of Saint John; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dylan was a Grade 5 student at Royal Road Elementary School who loved his classmates, teachers and going to school. Dylan had a very special bond with his two teacher's assistants, Mrs. Linda Boudreau and Mrs. Pat Morgan. Dylan's absolute favorite place to visit was Prince Edward Island. Dylan loved the ocean, playing in the waves and enjoying a delicious lobster dinner. Dylan's favorite movie was "Cars" and he especially loved "Mater."
There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Private Family Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon Macleod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 with Pastor Peter Moore officiating. Interment will take place at Dayton Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation (Pediatrics Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
