Adeodat E. (Robbie) Robichaud, 74, of Monteagle, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Kedgwick, NB on January 4, 1936, Robbie was a son of the late Emile and Marie-Ange (Dugas) Robichaud. He retired from the Iron Ore Company of Canada as Senior Financial Officer with 28 years of service in Schefferville, Labrador City, NLFD and Sept-Iles, QC. Robbie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. He had a special bond with his grandchildren and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Robbie is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years June (Lewis); his children Michael (Michelle) of Edmonton, AB and Angela (Andrew) Steeves of Monteagle; grandchildren Crystal of Edmonton, AB and Nicholas of Monteagle, NB; step grandchildren Sean (Carla) of Edmonton, AB and Timothy, Duncan, BC; brothers and sisters Dolores Kernan (Don) of Harrisville, MI, Jean-Claude (Carole) Sept-Iles, QC, Yvon (Lorraine) of Sorel-Tracy, QC, Albert (Ginette) of Ste-Adele, QC, Marguerite Bujold (Jacques)of Kedgwick, NB, Jean-Paul of Laval, QC and René Cimon (Hélene), Kedgwick, NB; sisters in law Mireille of Montreal, QC and Ginette of La Baie, QC and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by brothers Robert and Roland; sister Monique, niece Anick and nephew Sebastien.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday, May 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from Second North River Baptist Church Wednesday, May 5 at 2 pm with Rev. Jarvis Lepper officiating. Interment to follow at Monteagle Cemetery.
