Saunder died at his home in Weston after a long battle with cancer. He was 73.
He is survived by his wife Carol; daughter, Wendy (Steve Gay) and "his pride and joy"; grandson, Brent of Burlington, Ont.; his brother, Angus, Boston, Ma. and sister, Geri, (Alton Fraser), St. Petersburg, Fl.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian (Brushett) of Glace Bay; his parents, George and Jean Clarke of Reserve Mines and a sister, Joan (Cromer) of South Carolina.
Cremation has taken place.
