William "Bill" Brown Cuthbertson of Riverview, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on May 3rd. Born in Saint John, N.B. on December 9, 1934, he was a son of the late Maurice H. and Ruth (Scribner) Cuthbertson. He graduated from Petitcodiac Regional High School in 1952 and enjoyed a long career with the CNR in Moncton (1953-1987). Bill loved all sports, fishing & hunting and especially his camp on the Shepody Road. He is survived by his brother Kenneth (Hilda), Saint John; nieces: Deborah Boyd (John), Barbara Putnam (Brad), and Donna Rogerson (Kevin); nephews: Richard Cuthbertson (Evelyn), Robert Cuthbertson, Brian Cuthbertson (Phœbe) and Barry Gordon. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Ruth and brother Donald.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6th at 2:00 pm at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, Rev. John E. Boyd officiating. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will take place at Armstrong's Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to any charity. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 5th floor of the Moncton Hospital for their special care to Bill and also a special thanks to Janice and Corey and their children Dilan and Jade for their wonderful care of Bill over the past two years.
