Briand: Paul Edward Briand passed away at his home in Swift Current at the age of 56. The memorial service was held Friday, April 30, 2010 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home, Swift Current, Sk. with Pastorial Associate Eileen Zinn officiating. The interment service took place at the Ponteix Parish Cemetery with Father Raymond Carignan officiating. Paul was the third child in a family of five. He was born in Vanguard, Sk on May 10, 1953. He was predeceased by his father Louis Briand and his mother Marie Briand. He is survived by his brother Roger Briand, his sister Anne Marie (Ron) Coleman, his brother Alain (Mavis) Briand, sister Collette (Ray) Hancock and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul always kept his door open for everyone. He never tried to pretend he was someone he wasn't. "Paul, thank you for the gift of being you and challenging us to be patient and accepting of others who have their own crosses to bear. Sleep in peace Brother."
