The passing of Darlene Lucy Gilbert of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late Edward Gilbert occurred on Monday, May 3, 2010 at home. Born on January 25, 1926 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Lucy (Foster) Forman. Darlene was a member of the Burtts Corner Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Burtts Corner Sewing Circle and enjoyed quilting and knitting. Darlene is survived by her children: Garry, Neil, Stephen, Dale, Brenda and Deborah; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; also loved by Bobby, Bob, Marie, Susan, Donna, Kathy, Myrna, Iva, Sue-Sue and Wendy. Besides her parents and husband, Darlene was predeceased by her brother, William James.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Burtts Corner Church of Christ on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 1 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall and Pastor Dan Foreman officiating. Interment will take place in the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Burtts Corner Church of Christ Building Fund.
