Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Sunday, May 2, 2010, Mr. William J. Hammond of Lance Cove, Bell Island, aged 92 years. Predeceased by parents Edward and Agnes Hammond (nee Lannon), sister Gertrude Connors, brother-in-law Jim Connors, son Edward Hammond and grandson John Ezekiel Jr. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 68 years Margaret (Quinlan) Hammond; son Wayne (Mary Fowler), Edmonton, Alberta; daughters: Kathleen (John) Ezekiel, Goulds, Gloria (Kip) Kaus, Stephenville; daughter-in-law Faye (Faulkner) Hammond, Ontario; grandchildren: Paula Kelly, Karen Ezekiel, Chris Ezekiel, Shawn Hammond, Cory and Adam Kaus, Jennifer and Nicole Hammond and great-grandchild Taylor Ezekiel. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visitation Tuesday, May 4th, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 5th, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, May 5th at 2 p.m. from St. Michael's Parish, Bell Island.
