It is with sadness that the family of Arthur announce his passing at Ridgewood Veterans Wing on May 3rd, 2010. Arthur was born in Saint John, son of the late John B. and Sylvia (nee Williams) Robichaud. He was a veteran of WW II and a hero to his family. He volunteered very young and was stationed in Europe in the front lines for the duration of the war. He was proud to serve his country. He was a member of the Canadian Legion, Branch 69. Art will be sadly missed by his children; John, George and Shelly. Also lovingly survived by sisters Regina Wright, MaryAnn and Theresa (Stu) Teal. He is also survived by his four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by sisters Bertha Patterson, Christine LeBlanc and his brother George. The family would like to thank Ridgewood Nursing Home Veterans Wing (Liberty Lane) for their dedication and high level of care they provided.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A tribute to a Veteran service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose Church followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ridgewood Veterans Wing Comfort Fund would be appreciated by his family.
