Leonard Arthur Beshara born March 26, 1936 died peacefully surrounded by his family at the Regional Hospital on May 4, 2010. He was the son of the late Edward Sr. and Mary (Hunt) Beshara. He is survived by his loving wife Jean (Clarke) and two daughters Mary McCutcheon of Saint John and Deborah Boudreau (Dave) of Grand Bay; two brothers George (Ruth) and Ronald (Patricia) of Quispamsis; three sisters Barbara Norton (James) of Ottawa, Dorothy Blanchard (Laurie) of Fredericton and Belinda Thibodeau (Albert) of Moncton, three grandsons Gary, Shawn and Travis, and four granddaughters Angela, Crystal, Jennifer and Emma and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters Josephine Wickborn, Ruth Panasuk and Christina Hodgin and one brother Edward Beshara. Leonard was a long haul truck driver for many years and later drove taxi. He was a former member of the Hampton Legion, also the Hampton Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance and the Hampton Curling Club. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman and loved carpentry and to have a good time with family and friends.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hampton Rural Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
