At Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, of Priscilla "Mae" Hardy, wife of the late Alvin Lloyd Hardy, formerly of Freeland, age 89 years.
Born in Ellerslie on May 11, 1920, daughter of the late Joshua and Penrose (Phillips) Millar.
Dear mother of Myrna (Wayne) Phillips, Summerside; Martha Hardy, Nanaimo, B.C.; Lloyd (Louise), Freeland; Leigh (Mary), Etobicoke, ON.; and Lyndon (Georgina), Foxley River.
Loving grandmother of Paul and David (Lyanna) Phillips, Derek (Maureen), the late Kevin Johnstone and Jeffrey (Pam) Johnstone, Douglas (Monique), John (Martine), and Philip (Wendy) Hardy, Jill, Ben and Kate Hardy, and Grant (Jen), Alyssa (Curtis) and Laura Hardy. Great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren.
Also survived by brother Layton Millar of the Lady Slipper Villa, O'Leary.
Predeceased by her husband, Alvin (October 6, 2009); parents; brothers and sisters, Marguerite (Hatfield) Maynard, Sterling (Etta), Ivan (Janet), Alton (Edna), Verna (Lester) Linkletter, Lloyd (Willena/Edna), Daisy (Bertram) Phillips, Rosella, Glenford (Gwenythe), Roy and Gordon; father and mother-in-law, George and Laura (Bryan) Hardy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Major (May), Hazel (Edgar) Henderson, Gladys (Roland) Williams, Lila and William.
Resting at the Ferguson's Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visitation on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., then to Bideford-Conway United Church for funeral service on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Freeland United Church Cemetery.
