Hilda Mae Cochrane, beloved wife of the late Bennett Cochrane, went to be with her Lord on May, 7, 2010 at the York Manor Care Center. Born June 28, 1913, in Westchester, NS she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Miniola (Wright) Doyle. She is survived by her devoted daughter Margaret and her husband David Jewett of Fredericton; nieces and nephews from the Doyle and Cochrane families, including special niece Ethel Cameron. In addition to her husband and parents, Hilda was predeceased by three brothers Frank, Ray, and John; two sisters Clara and Jean; as well as their spouses and members of Bennett's family. Hilda served with her husband, Bennett for over 40 years in the pastoral ministry of the Wesleyan Church. They ministered in Seal Cove, Moncton and Fredericton, as well as a term he served as District Superintendent of the Atlantic District of The Wesleyan Church. She was in every sense a partner in the pastoral ministry, teaching, singing, praying, counseling, and welcoming people to her home.
