Wesley John Wilbur, 90, of Parkindale passed away Saturday, May 7, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Lower Cape he was a son of the late Jack and Ena (Steeves) Wilbur. Wesley retired as an automotive technician with Lounsbury's and enjoyed woodworking and hunting. During World War II he was employed as an instructor teaching metal work to students for the war effort. He attended First North River Baptist Church. Survived by his beloved wife Ina (Hicks), his son John (Susan) of Forest Hill; step-children Walter Mitton (Aurore) of Wheaton Settlement, Janice Wilkins (Mark), Kingston On.; grandchildren Cindy Wilbur and David Wilbur; step-grandchildren Lisa Norden, Nicole Munns, Jeffrey Mitton, Andrew Mitton, Christopher Mitton, Kimberley Mitton, Julian Wilkins; fifteen great grandchildren; a brother Harold (Ruth) of Campbellton and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Bessie (Price).
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 11 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Toben Steeves officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. If so desired memorials to the First North River Baptist Church or any charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
