
Elvenia Jollymore
Elvenia "Allie" Jollymore, age 88, of River Hebert passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Born in Chignecto on August 19, 1921, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Edith (Berry) Smith.
A loving stay at home mother of seven children, she was busy, but also enjoyed reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and camping with her loving husband of 62 years, Bill.
Allie will be sadly missed by her husband William (Bill) Sr.; two sons, Billy (Vicki) of River Hebert and Larry (Debbie ) of Elmsdale; daughters, Deanna (Fred) of Fredericton, and Marlene (Hilson) of Harvey, NB, Judy (Bubby) and Sandy (Gordie) of River Hebert; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hunter of South Surey BC; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren as well as six sisters and a brother.
Besides her parents, Allie was predeceased by her first husband, Wendell Hunter, son Darrell Hunter and sister Donnie Edwards.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place and visitation for Allie will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held from the funeral home at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 with burial to follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Pastor Philip Scott officiating. A luncheon will be held afterwards at the River Hebert Baptist Church.
Donations in Allie's memory can be made to the Palliative Care of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
