LABRASH - The death of Patrick John LaBrash of Kindersley, SK, occurred on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Kindersley Hospital. He was 60 years of age. Patrick was born in Humboldt, SK, to Bernard and Catherine (nee Gerwing) LaBrash. He grew up and attended school at Mt. Carmel, Ironside, Bruno, Saskatoon, and later at Need. After the family moved to Parkside, Pat attended highschool in Shellbrook. Following his school years, he entered the work force and tried his hand at many different jobs, primarily tin smithing, in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Pat and his brothers took over their father's bee keeping business in the early 1970s, and Pat became the sole operator until the mid 1980s. He then worked for Haliburton in Kindersley in the oil fields, and then in vacuum cleaner sales. In 2000, Pat worked as a cab dispatcher in Edmonton; he then became a cab driver in Saskatoon and the last two years were spent operating his own cab company, Ten Inch Taxi, in Kindersley. In 1978, Pat was married and blessed with two sons, John and Ian. In 1982, he met a very special group of friends who became his second family, to whom he was forever grateful. Their fellowship and support were his sole existence. Patrick will always be remembered by his sons: John Gray, Elkridge, SK, and Ian Gray, Saskatoon; his siblings: Mary Ellen LaBrash (James Winkel), Middle Lake; George LaBrash (Shirley), Airdrie, AB; Nœl LaBrash, Bruno, SK; Charles LaBrash (Bernice) and Doug LaBrash, both of Parkside; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and their families; and by many dear friends. The Memorial Service for Patrick will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at the Humboldt Legion Hall, 324 Main Street South, Humboldt. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation. SCHULER-LEFEBVRE, SK. (306-682-4114).
