The death of Laverne Agnes Stark of Geary, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on May 10th, 2010. Born March 29th, 1933 in Harmony, NS, she was the daughter of the late Redford and Agnes (Hamilton) Merritt and wife of the late Paul Stark Sr. Survived by three sons, Ernest (Serena) Stark of North Bay, ON, Richard (Cheryl) of Geary, NB, and Paul Jr. (Karen) of Burton, NB; two brothers, Jack Merritt of Truro, NS, and Kenneth Merritt of Truro, NS; one sister Linda Wade of Sydney, NS; half-brother William Merritt (Faye) of Truro, NS and one grandchild, Brittany Anne Paige Belliveau of Calgary, AB. Laverne was predeceased by her parents; her husband; one son James Stark and two brothers, James Merritt and Bruce Merritt; two half-brothers, Russell Merritt and Lorne Merritt; nephew, Stephen Merritt and one niece, Cheryl Merritt.
Visitation will be held the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Interment will take place in the Burton Cemetery.
