Marion A. Porter, 90, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Riverside-Albert, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Born in Hillsborough, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Verna (Jonah) Cameron. Marion was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Gunningsville Baptist Church, Dominion Life Member of the WMS and Senior Fellowship Group. She was a former member of the Albert Baptist Church and over the years, was active in church and community activities. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, camping, and traveling on trips with her husband, but first and foremost was spending precious time with her family. Marion will be sadly missed by her sons, Richard (Catherine), Moncton, Gary (Patricia), Riverview; grandchildren, Jennifer (James), Lower Coverdale, Jeffrey (Krista), Dartmouth, Jeremy (Jennifer), Saint John, Michael (Tanya), Gerry (Tracy) and Angie (Shane), all of Riverview; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Benjamin, Taylor, Katelyn, Jansen, Kennedy and Owen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Burl Porter (January 26, 2000).
