The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, of Fritz Dyck, of Read Drive, Summerside, aged 81 years. Born in Berkhein, Germany, he was the son of the late Jacob and Marie (Gotz) Dyck. Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Rogers) Dyck, son, Burke (Maribeth), Montague, stepson, Douglas (Carolyn) Landry, Summerside, grandchildren, Allan Dyck, Winsloe North, Jennifer Dyck (Jamie Wilson), Gatineau, Que., Jamie Landry (Catherine MacKenzie), Heather Butler, Andrew MacDonald (Laura Grzesik), Tim MacDonald and Jeremy MacDonald (Nancy MacPhee); great-grandchildren Josh, Carlin, Luke, Jaden, Brennan and Bethany, sisters Ann Marie (Ewald) Einhauser and Waltraud Schur, both of Germany, and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Elisabeth (Schild) Dyck, daughter, Karen Dyck, brother, Horst Dyck, and by a brother-in-law, Otto Schur. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to the North Bedeque United Church, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment later in Farnham Cemetery, East Dunham, Que. No visiting hours by personal request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Bedeque United Church would be appreciated.
