It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Rita O'Quinn (Aucoin) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, on Friday, May 14, 2010, at the age of 80 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Bernard; 10 children: Jerome (Loreen) of Alberta, Allen (Juanita) of Stephenville, Rosalyn (Hilary) of Port au Port, Gary (Phyllis) of Stephenville, Carl (Tina) of Brampton, Carolyn Roberts of Brampton, Clarence (Margaret) of Stephenville, Cornelius (Priscilla) of Fort McMurray, Daren (Ann) of Stephenville and Glen (Barbara) of Bradford, Ontario; brothers and sisters: Patricia Pinsent of Grand Falls, June Byrne of Botwood, Lucy Kelly of Bishop Falls, Tom Byrne of New Brunswick, Francis Dwyer of Botwood and Desmond Byrne of Botwood; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Bride Byrne; stepfather, Clarence Sacrey; brothers: Joseph, James, Patrick and Anthony Byrne; sister, Dot McLaughlin. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville, on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville, with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
