Mrs. Brenda Burgess of Fredericton and formerly of Halifax passed away after a valiant fight with cancer while surrounded by her loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on May 13, 2010 at the age of 60. Born in Sussex she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Elma Steeves. Brenda is survived by her husband Bryan, her son, Sean Alward of Vancouver, her brother, Gerald Steeves of Vancouver, her step-son, Kris Burgess of Dartmouth. Brenda also leaves behind many friends that she made while working at the Mills Brothers Clothing store on Spring Garden Rd. in Halifax during her 26 year career there.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). There will be a light reception at the Wallace Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 to Celebrate Brenda's Life.
