Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, Gwen Dawson, aged 85 years, of Bay Roberts. Predeceased by her parents Nathan and Marion (nee Rowsell) Russell, husband John M. Dawson (June 1988); a son deceased in infancy; brother John Russell. Leaving to mourn sons: John (Mary), Kippens, NL, Marcellian (Marion), Levack, Ontario, Everett (Helen), Levack, Ontario, Tom (Nellie), Bay Roberts, NL, Kevin (Doreen), Bay Roberts, NL, Dominic, Bay Roberts, NL; daughters: Ann (Tony) Flynn, Colliers, NL, Frances Dawson, Bay Roberts, NL, Madonna (Gary) White, Milton, Ontario, Alice (Emerson) Crane, Sudbury, Ontario, Sheila (Gilbert) Crane, Bay Roberts, NL; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Gert Russell, Corner Brook, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
