It is with great sadness that the family of the late Muriel J. Humby announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on May 7, 2009, at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and cherished memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Alma and Bill Dicks, Gander, and Judy and Terry Quinton, Pasadena; her precious granddaughters, Pamela (Philip) Murphy, St. John's, Shelley (Lloyd) Whitehorne, Port aux Basques, and her cherished grandson, Bruce (Melissa) Quinton, St. John's; her most precious great-grandchildren Kayla, Laura, Julie, Stephen, and little baby Isabelle. She also leaves to mourn her sister, Jessie Humby, Summerville, her sisters-in-law, Vera Fry, Gander, Maud Fry, Summerville, and Lucy Fry, St. John's; a foster son, Roland Parsons, Gander; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a very large circle of friends. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and an infant daughter. Visitation will take place at the United Church in Summerville on Sunday, May 10 starting at 2 p.m., and again on Monday, May 11, with the funeral service on Tuesday, May 12, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Silas Rodgers officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Summerville.
