August 14, 1940 - May 4, 2009. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, at the Health Sciences Complex on Monday, May 4th, 2009, Loretta Hillier of Blaketown, aged 68 years. Predeceased by her husband, Winston (2004) and her father, Wilson Smith (1988). She leaves to mourn her loving children: Brenda (Cecil) Pitcher, Burin, Wade Hillier (Charlene), Mount Pearl, Lisa (Reginald) Mooney, Paradise, and three precious grandchildren: Dakota, Nicholas and Anna. She is also lovingly remembered by her Mother, Isabelle Smith (nee Day), Cavendish, as well as a circle of family and friends. Rested at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo, with visitation on Tuesday, May 5th, from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Wednesday, May 6th, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. The funeral service was held from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blaketown, on Wednesday, May 6th, at 2:00 pm. Interment followed at St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Barnabas Church Cemetery Fund.
