The death of Mrs. Edwina F. "Bonnie" Gillespie, wife of the late Gordon Emery Gillespie occurred at the Kennebec Manor on May 23, 2010. Born in Saint John on November 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Josephine A. (Wetmore) and Edward S. Craig. Bonnie had worked as a clerk at Joyce's Grocery for many years and enjoyed knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by her son Craig (Gloria) Gillespie of Saint John West, sisters Noreen McCarthy, and Lorraine Haslett, brother Wallace Craig, grandchildren David (Andrea) Gillespie, Cory (Nancy) Gillespie and great-grandchildren Devin, Nathaniel, and Mackenzie Gillespie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her parents and husband Gordon, brothers Gordon Matheson, Edward "Bud" Craig, Hilyard Matheson, and Walter Craig.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm from Castle Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
