Stephenville

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jerome Roy Gillam announce his passing at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the age of 65 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, May (nee Roberts); one daughter, Lorna (Guy) Carter of Kippens; two grandchildren: Alex and Michael; four sisters: Dora Jay of Ontario, Dulcie Matchem of Ontario, Vera Alley of Ontario and Cora (Gerald) Fortune of St. David's; sister-in-law, Clara Gillam of Stephenville Crossing and a large circle of relatives, friends and his two favorite dogs: Sam and Sailor. He was predeceased by his parents, Elwin and Alexina Gillam; brother, Elwin Gillam and sister, Una Gillam. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 27th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in St. David's. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
