It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maude Lorraine Belben (nee McKenzie) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Monday, May 24th, 2010, at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: husband, Clyde, children: Brenda (Kevin Dooley) of St. John's, NL, Jerry (Genevieve) of Halifax, NS and Debbie (Darin Pike) of St. John's, NL; grandchildren: Cheryl (Jason Pike) of Glenburnie, Serena (Corey Shortliffe) of Truro, NS and Crystal (Brett Vey) of St. John's, NL; great-grandchildren: Jenna Pike, Corey Pike and Kiran Shortliffe; brothers: Hughie (Hazel) of Brampton, Ontario and Wade (Zonya) of Glenburnie, sisters: Clara (Robert Anderson) of Deer Lake and Sarah (Sadie) (Kenneth Belben) of Glenburnie. Mother was predeceased by parents, William & Eva McKenzie and mother and father-in-law, Maria & Chesley Belben. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Pentecostal Church in Birchy Head, today, Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 27th, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., Pastor Kirby Noseworthy officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Birchy Head. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
