Ronald H. Snyder, 79, of Moncton, passed away on arrival at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ward and Greta (Douthwright) Snyder. Ron was a former co-founder and co-owner of Brunswick Optical Ltd. and was instrumental in the formation of the Opticians Association of New Brunswick (1976). In past years, he enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music and was a proud supporter of the Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Blue Jays. He and Stella enjoyed building their cottage in Little Cape and spending time there with family members. Ron will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend of over 44 years, Stella (Gauvin); sisters, Peggy Hicks (Ross), Moncton, Betty Wilson (late Floyd), McKees Mills; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eldon and a special nephew, Gregory Hicks.
