It is with deep sadness that we regret to announce the sudden peaceful passing of our father, brother and husband at home, May 26, 2010, at 56 years of age.
Born at McNab's Island, N.S., he was the son of the late Walter and Rita (Pye) Eddy.
Arnold was an avid fisherman who worked in Eastern Passage until 1980. He then moved to Cape Breton and continued with his employment. He enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Judy as wellas all of his children, brother, sisters and grandchildren.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Michael, John, Charlie, David; and daughter, Rose Marie. He is also survived by brothers, Wayne, Barry, Raymond Eddy, all of Dartmouth, and Billy (Rose), Mount Uniacke. Also surviving are sisters, Shirley (Ken) Arnold, Jeddore, N.S., Marie (Dwayne) Henderson, Newfoundland, Louise (Billy) Weagle, Mount Uniacke; 10 beautiful grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, George Grant.
Visitation at Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, Sunday, May 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Christian burial services to be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church on Monday, May 31 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating. Cremation will follow with a private burial at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of one's choice.
