Of Carbonear, who passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Mrs. Martland was 83 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving family: husband John Martland; daughter Deanna (Kevin) Martland; grandsons: Jeffery (Adrienne), Joseph (Connie) and Shane (Val); great-grandson: Callum Tate; brother: Norman Pare, and a large number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents: Noe & Laura Pare. The funeral services will take place at Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 4:30 P.M. The inurnment will take place at a later date. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, POWELL DRIVE, CARBONEAR between the hours 3 - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 2 - 4 P.M. on Saturday.
