The passing of Yvonne Rose Burke, wife of Donnie Burke, of Zealand, NB, occurred on May 27, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 27, 1943 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of Excy Elliott and the late Theodore Burgess.
Yvonne was a senior care worker and was a member of Keswick Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, dancing and camping at Everett's Campground. Besides her mother, she is survived by her children, Kevin Burgess (Leslee), Larry (Sheri), Christopher (Lori), Todd (Cara), Steven (Angie) and Dwayne Jackson; step-daughter, Diane McKay (Sid); step-son, Garry Burke; 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Esther Jewett (Billy) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Burgess.
A Private Memorial Service will be held from Keswick Baptist Church on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 11 am with Pastor Jonathan McKay officiating. Interment will follow at Keswick Cemetery. A reception for friends and family will be held at the church at 12:30.
