It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Langer announce her passing on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: William Langer (Laverne), Corner Brook, Marina Dicks, Corner Brook, Eugene Langer, Ontario, Rowena Langer (John), Montreal, Rose Hunt, Corner Brook, Wayne Langer, Ontario, Llewellyn Langer (Debbie), Corner Brook, Austin Langer (Leah), Corner Brook and John Brockway, Hay River, NWT; sister Amelia Snow, Catalina; sister-in-law Audrey Brown, Cow Head; brother-in-law Henry Dawe, Corner Brook; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John, 1987, parents Selina and William Brown, brother William Brown, sisters Dianna Martin and Selina Brown, sons-in-law James Hunt and Bart Dicks. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12th at 2:00 pm from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street with The Very Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
