Passed peacefully away at the Chancellor Park Estates in St. John’s on May 09, 2009, Ivy Thistle of Shoal Harbour, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband, Albert Harris and two sisters, Muriel and Bina. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Bev (Dave Strong) of Shoal Harbour, Ed (Vivian) of Shoal Harbour and Wayne of St. John’s; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Monday, May 11, 2009. Funeral will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the United Church in Shoal Harbour with interment at the United Church Cemetery in Shoal Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the United Church Fund in Shoal Harbour. Special thanks to the staff of Chancellor Park Estates in St. John’s.
