59, of New Minas, Nova Scotia, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at home. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late David and Lillian (MacLeod) Johnston. She had been employed with the federal government as an administrative assistant with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. She is survived by her husband, Albert \"Allie\"; two daughters, Heidi (Gerry) McInnis, Black Rock and Robyn, Halifax; a sister, Janice (Mark) Reynolds, Trenton, Ontario; a brother, Stewart (Zellah) Johnston, Cornwall, P.E.I.; a brother-in-law, Roland Profitt, Margate, P.E.I.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Profitt. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, N.S., where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2009, Reverend Robert Billings officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Cavendish Cemetery, P.E.I. Donations in memory may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Flower Cart, New Minas.
