It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roland Joseph Lyver announces his passing on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 70 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Irene Lyver of 47 years, his children; Jo-Anne Lyver (Tony), Jenny Lyver, Yvonne Lyver, Rod Lyver (Sandra), Jerry Lyver, grandchildren; Joseph and Emily Andrews, Martin Reid, brothers and sisters; Jack Lyver (Virginia), Mary Hobbs, Don Penney (Doiley), Ruth Courtney (Mike), Ruby Small (Gerald), Jean Murphy, Wilfred Murphy (Arlene), Allan Murphy (Phrona), Ella Terry (Rod), Dan Murphy (Lynda), Ern Murphy (Alma), Barb Blackwood (Terry), Cindy Murphy. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Doreen Elizabeth Lyver, brother, Louis Major, parents Genevieve and Jerry Lyver, his biological parents Roland and Beatrice Murphy, stepmother Lenora Murphy. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2009 and Friday, May 15, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Mount Bernard Ave. with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gracefully accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation Neonatal Unit in memory of his granddaughter Doreen Elizabeth Lyver.
