HENDRIX – Grace Elinor (nee Randell)
December 31, 1933 – May 6, 2009
On Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the age of 75 years, Grace Hendrix passed away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after a short courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Grace leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her husband of 49 years, Garfield; her children Shirley (Elliot), Arlene (Steve), Donna (Don), Vernon and Allan (Hyun Joo); six grandchildren Michael, Carisa, Noah, Nathan, Jillian and Ethan, as well as many family and friends. Grace was predeceased by her parents Mary and Claude Randell and her sister Edith. Grace enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a generous volunteer – canvassing for many charities including the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation and was an active member of the Ladies Club at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Prince Albert. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2009 with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 with celebrant Father Cliff Tremblay. Both services will be held at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made in Grace’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
