The passing of Shirley Eileen MacFawn of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Russell MacFawn, occurred on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Silbert and Mary (Goddard) Preston. She was a member of St. Theresa's Parish. Shirley was involved with Boyscouts, Beavers and Cubs, Home and School and the CWL. She enjoyed painting, camping and crafts.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Michelle Cody (Gary) of Burton, NB; sons, Tony (Sherrie) of Maugerville, NB, Tim MacFawn of NS and Jim MacFawn of NS; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Pat (Scott) McGivney of Fredericton, NB, June McEachern of Dartmouth, NS and Betty (Bernie) Boutaught of Comox, BC; brothers, Silbert Preston of Moncton, NB, Robert (Joanne) Preston of Kingston, ON and Bill (Armel) Preston of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11 am with Father Mark Trzop as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
