Passed peacefully away on May 11, 2009, in Dayton, Ohio, USA, after a valiant battle with cancer, Madonna Schwartz (nee Cook) in her 74th year. She leaves behind a wealth of loving family and friends in Dayton, Ohio, Rochester, NH and her homeland St. John's, Newfoundland. Predeceased by her husband Donald Schwarts, son William, parents Gordon and Lillian Cook and siblings Anna Gould, Gordon Cook and Betty Connors. Leaving to mourn her daugher Elizabeth (Alan) Smith,son John (Leslie) Bellanca, three grandchildren and her loving partner and best friend Sal Bellanca; brothers: Philip Cook (Martina), Mount Pearl and John (Gail) Cook, St. John's, also many neices, nephews, relatives and friends, especially her cousin Martin Hickey (Mary Lou), Montreal, Que. Private family service to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton & Oak Creek Terrace, Dayton, Ohio, USA.
