JOSEPH EDMUND O'KEEFE
We, the family of the late Joseph O'Keefe, would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped us through this time of sudden and great loss. To the staff of Melville Lodge Nursing Home in Halifax for treating Dad with care, patience and respect during his short stay with you, especially Kim for welcoming Dad as if he were her family. Thank you to Fr. Arsenault of the Companion of the Cross, and to Paul Sullivan, Dad's cherished friend for your visits and for being with us in Dad's last hour. To all who brought food, sent flowers, sympathy cards, Mass cards, emails, charitable donations visited our homes, and attended the wake and funeral, we are forever grateful for your love and support. To City Homemakers and Breton Caregivers for their excellent care of Dad, especially Mary and Pat, a heartfelt thank you. To Fr. Oliver and Fr. MacPhee for the lovely funeral Mass on March 17, (Dad's favourite day of the year). To grandchildren, Jeanne, Janet and Jamie who presented the offertory, to St. Theresa's Choir for their beautiful hymns and to nephews Tom and John O'Keefe for their tribute to their uncle Joe with their beautiful rendition of "Danny Boy", we thank you for your love and respect for Dad. To the readers, the pallbearers and the alter servers, thank you. Also, thank you to the catering staff of the Ashby Legion for the delicious lunch served after the Mass.
